When do your rates change?
Our rates raise for our high season of July 1 through September 10, off-season rates are in effect all other days with the exception of July 4th weekend.
Are the cottages privately owned?
Yes, all the cottages are privately owned.
Does the resort rent boats?
No, we do not. We maintain a list of local marinas that can assist you with general boat rentals.
What is there to do?
The resort offers canoeing*, kayaking*, cycling*, tennis, archery, croquet, shuffleboard, basketball, and table tennis. The new pool and pavilion area offers a 55-foot swimming pool, indoor swim spa, sauna and fitness center. *Rentals available from River Haven Marina
Do you have a restaurant?
No, we do not, but there are several within a 5-mile radius of the resort.
How old is the resort?
The Resort opened in late 1990.
Who is the developer of Steinhatchee Landing Resort?
Do you accept pets?
The resort welcomes dogs 28 lbs or less in certain pet-friendly cottages.
Where is the nearest beach?
The closest beach is Keaton Beach, approximately 17 miles from the resort.
What is the closest airport?
Gainesville and Tallahassee are the largest airports and are 90 miles from Steinhatchee. Cross City has a small airport that offers landing for smaller, personal aircraft. (17 miles from the resort)
Where is the nearest golf course?
Golf courses are located in Perry and Chiefland, a 40 – 45 minute drive.
Do you serve breakfast?
No, we do not, but your cottage is fully equipped for you to prepare your own.
Do you have a grocery store?
Our hometown grocery is Maddie’s, offering everything from to-go lunches of fried chicken, to sandwiches and fresh vegetables.
Is the resort rated?
We are a 3-diamond resort.
How do you pronounce Steinhatchee?
Though it is spelled Steinhatchee, it is pronounced Steenhatchee. The name comes from the indigenous word Esteen Hatchee – River of Man.
